The Nunez Lab at the University of Florida is a creative space where undergraduate students develop research and scientific communication skills while pursuing rigorous scientific research in woody plant physiology. We employ a combination of agricultural, biochemical, and ‘omics’ approaches to answer agriculturally relevant questions about nutrient uptake, root physiology, and soilless cultivation. We conduct this research in a collaborative environment where undergraduate students from various disciplines contribute their time and talents to semester- or year-long extramurally-funded projects.
